Associate attorney Farzeen Essa, for example, found her passion in her involvement with Girls Think Tank (GTT), where she is a founding board member. GTT began as a grassroots collective that grew out of a dinner party among girlfriends in 2006.  This non-profit organization provides Winter Survivor Backpacks to people in San Diego who have become homeless.  The backpacks include warm clothes and supplies. GTT advocates for supportive housing and better living conditions for San Diegans in need and has convened a Homeless Action Committee to bring together stakeholders – judges, attorneys, the police department, business owners, citizens, advocates, and homeless people – to find common ground and solutions. 

On the corporate side, each member of Brown Law Group believes strongly in environmental issues and has a true devotion to San Diego. The Group reflects this in its pro bono services to I Love A Clean San Diego (ILACSD).  Founded in 1954, ILACSD offers a broad range of expertise in environmental education program design and implementation. ILACSD works to promote regional awareness of environmental issues including resource conservation, waste reduction and recycling, community enhancement, and pollution prevention.
